myInsel generally

myInsel is both a patient portal and an app that allows you, as a patient, to access your own health information anytime, anywhere. Via myInsel, for example, you can also view future and past appointments at the Insel Gruppe, as well as reports or prescribed medication. Further functions are listed below. The patient portal is under constant development, and new features are being added gradually. myInsel offers you the following benefits:

  • Overview of your future and past appointments in the Insel Gruppe.
  • Cancellation of follow-up appointments up to 48 hours in advance and use of a waiting list.
  • Access to summary and patient reports, as well as administrative documents.
  • Access to your health status, such as current medications, allergies and vaccinations. 
  • Access to your test results (laboratory, findings) and findings from imaging.

No, myInsel is a free service for Insel Gruppe patients and their families, both in the browser and via our mobile app.

Yes, the security of your health information is at the heart of our concerns. To guarantee the privacy and security of your data, we rely on a multi-layered protection concept:

  • Secure activation: Access to myInsel is made possible by a unique activation code.
  • Personal identification data: To access, you need an individual username and password. Your password is known only to you. Without it, no one can access your account.
  • Two-factor authentication: We offer additional security through two-factor authentication, which requires a second confirmation of your identity to access your account.
  • Secure communication: Unlike traditional e-mail, messages within myInsel are exchanged via a secure connection for as long as you are connected to our site.

These measures ensure that your health information remains secure and protected.

Registration & login

You will need an activation code for your first login. Order your personal activation code here if you did not receive an activation code when you last visited the Insel Gruppe. You can use this activation code to log in to myInsel for the first time, set your personal user name and password and configure 2-factor authentication.

myInsel is owned by Insel Gruppe AG and operated by myInsel. It complies with federal and national laws regarding your privacy. Your name and e-mail address are treated with the same care and confidentiality as your medical records and are never sold or leased by myInsel. You'll have to have access to a computer or smartphone with internet access:

Computer/Laptop: The computer must be connected to the internet and have a recent browser (e.g. Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome).

Smartphone: Via smartphone, you can download and use our myInsel mobile app in the App Stores (Android and Apple).

Once you have logged in to the myInsel patient portal, you can access our support directly via "Messages" or in the menu via "Ask a question". This is a secure communication channel.

If you are unable to log in, you can contact us by e-mail. Please note that this is not a secure communication channel and messages should not contain confidential information.

Written requests are processed from Monday to Friday, during normal office hours.

Test results and other findings are shared in myInsel after 1 to 14 days, depending on classification.

Your service providers can determine which test results they have access to via myInsel. Tests of a highly confidential nature, for example, are not shared on myInsel.
